LIQUID PENETRANT (PT) EQUIPMENT

visible-light-meterVisible Light Meter: S/N# 160202896

Measures visible light in foot-candles or lux
The Visible Light Meter accurately measures visible light in either foot-candles or lux and includes a permanently affixed visible light sensor specially constructed to measure visible white light in the range of 400-760 nm for non-destructive testing.

Benefits

  • Photo diode sensor
  • 400-760 nm range for ASTM E2297
  • +/-5% accuracy for NADCAP requirements
  • Accurately measures visible white light emission
  • Range selection 0 to 2,000 ft-candles / 0 to 20,000 lux
  • Adjustable digital readout ranges: 20, 200 & 2,000 ft-candles or 200, 2,000 & 20,000 lux

Sherwin Cleaner DR-62:

DR-62 Cleaner-Remover is used in the penetrant process to remove excess, nonwater-washable penetrants from part surfaces, e.g., Sherwin DP-40 Dye Penetrant (visible red) and Sherwin RC-65 and RC-77 Fluorescent Penetrants. It is a manual “wipe on” and “wipe off” material and, consequently, recommended for small areas. DR-62 may also be used for generally cleaning oily, dirty surfaces. DR-60 is especially suitable for cleaning prior to the application of inspection penetrants. DR-62 is widely found in machine shops, foundries, and overhaul shops; it is a good, all purpose cleaner.

Sherwin Cleaner DP-51:

DP-51 is a red colored dye penetrant liquid used to locate cracks, laps, pores, lack of bonding, and similar surface flaws in any insoluble, nonporous substance including both ferrous and nonferrous metals, ceramics, glass and many plastics. Referred to as the “visible dye penetrant” method or “color contrast “method inspection

Sherwin Cleaner D-106:

D-106 is a Developer consists of refined white particles suspended in acetone to give enhanced sensitivity for locating tight, incipient flaws; by solvent and capillary action, it pulls flaw-entrapped penetrant to part surfaces for display against a white background.
